RA Lates: A Night at The Palace

The Royal Academy of Arts

March 2018

A hand-painted proscenium arch stage, as acted in by immersive performers Wilson & Hart. The installation was inspired by the 17th-century courtly masques of Charles 1st.  A masque involved music and dancing, singing and acting, within an elaborate stage design, most often created by the renowned English architect Indigo Jones. Our design also included (a more modern touch) of a projection center stage, of two dancers as if shadows in the distance.
